Welcome track and field fans! Thank you for visiting our team website. The Kern County Athletic All-Stars are one of the few nationally ranked Track and Cross Country teams in Kern County. By offering both programs, we are virtually a year round track club. Kern County Athletic All-Stars have won 41 National Championship medals in the last 8 1/2 years as a track club, although we've only competed at the national level for 6 years.
The Kern County Athletic All-Stars recently took 12 kids for the AAU Cross CountryJunior Olympics meet in Fort Gordon, GA December 5th - 7th, 2013. At that event, the athletes won 10 medals, including the boys midget team placing 5th in the team event.
This years goal includes travel to the Western National Championship in Reno,
NV, and for some youngester a possible trip to the AAU National Jr. Olympics in Des Moines, IA. Unfortuantaly many kids won’t be able to go and realize their Olympic Dream without help from the community. This is why founder and head coach Ron Ryan had a vision to help these deserving young stars and created the Rosedale Racers scholorship fund over 8 years ago. Since then both businesses and caring residents have contributed to the dream of 145 different athletes and their travels to various national events. Won’t you please help us provide an experience of a lifetime for these athletes?
We estimate the cost per each athlete for 10 days at the Junior Olympics is about $1,035 each. This presents a tremendous need for support from the community if we are going to reward each of our qualifying athletes with an Olympic experience. We sure hope we can count on your support.
The Kern County Athletic All-Stars (a division of the Rosedale Racers) is a 501-C charitable organization, so donations should be tax deductible. Our Tax ID # is 80-0317340 and our AAU exempt number is 1155. If you have any questions, please feel free to call Ron Ryan at 661-747-1603 or Stacy Ryan 661-219-3421.
